Wilderness Langkawi Challenge

Are you an adventurer, love to take risks, think yourself to be a man of substance, then I guess The Wilderness Langkawi Challenge is the best place to test your guts. A very recent addition to the long list of Langkawi Festivals and events this is the most unique of the entire lot.

The event is basically a one day stamina race which comprises of kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, running, and other stimulating activities continuing for three or more hours.

The event is broadly divided into two categories. The First is called the "Slow and Steady" which is for the beginners and has a 10km circuit which has trail running and kayaking. Whilst The Fast and Furious is for the pros including a circuit of 35kilometres with mountain biking, trail running and kayaking as its components.

Hefty Cash prizes come as a reward and these kind of adventure race will establish Langwaki as an international adventure race center. Last year The Tuba Island was the venue for the event.

The organizers think this event would inculcate a spirit of competitiveness and team work amongst the youth of today. Along with the few wonders of the island, this event too makes Langkawi different from other places of Malaysia.
