Location
Langkawi is blessed with a host of waterfall of which the Temurun Waterfall has a unique position. Located in Teluk Datai of Langkawi this waterfall lies on the north western part of Langkawi.
Description
Temurun Waterfall in Langkawi is a 30 meter fall gushing down from the northern
slope of the Gunung Mat Cincang and falling into the Datai Bay. The fall is
connected to the Datai Bay through a road. Although the 10 minutes journey is
a bit strenuous the excitement is unmatchable.
To enjoy the lovely fall all you have to do is to cross a jungle. The most
common plantation found in this area is meranti.
Best time to visit
To see the beauty of the fall in its true colors visit the place in the rainy season when the falls adores a distinct charisma. As such the fall can be visited in the months June to December.
Attractions
After enjoying the beauty of the waterfall, have a swim and just freshen yourself up. The climb to the top pool is also something to be enjoyed. If you manage to take a little bit more trouble visit the artificial waterfall lying along the same road. Kids have a great time staring up and down the steps that leads to the pool located at the foot of the Temurun Waterfall. Innumerable people including the locals find the waterfall to be an excellent spot for picnics.
