Chinese New Year in Malaysia

New Year is the time for making new resolutions; promising yourself that you would be a better man. The preparation however begins one month prior to this much-awaited festival. People buy new clothes, house decoration items and every household is newly painted and a thorough clean up is done. The Chinese New Year festival in Malaysia brings home even the family members who live abroad. Greeting cards are exchanged and the entire family assembles for dinner.

Delicious food items are prepared and people dance, sing all through the night. This festival is a major attraction for the tourists.
