KL International Tower Jump

Malaysia - Langkawi - Kuala Lumpur - Penang
With rapid industrialization and economic growth, Malaysia is fast becoming an Asian economic powerhouse. Home to the tallest building on earth (the Petronas Twin Towers), Malaysia also houses the fourth tallest telecommunication tower in the world. At a whopping 421 meter height, Kl International Tower is the preferred choice of high altitude jumpers. Like the previous five years, the sixth annual KL International Tower jump is scheduled to be held in 2007.

Every year dare devils climb up this telecommunication tower and then jump from the apex. After experiencing free fall for a couple of seconds, these extreme sports enthusiasts open up their parachutes. People down below watch these jumpers falling down with bated breath. Some of the jumpers even do repeated jumps from the KL International Tower. Other equally heart-pumping actions such as helicopter roping, gliding and light aircraft acrobatics also form part of the attraction.

The jumpers who dare to try such an extreme sport do it just to experience free fall. They simply seem to love the adrenaline rush that accompanies such a dangerous feat. Anyone can participate in this jump and there is no participation fee. This extreme sport however should not be tried by the weak hearted. The spectacle is free to all.
