The continent of Asia is a melting pot of different cultures, wonders and attractions. Malaysia is situated in the heart of Asia. The capital of Malaysia is Kuala Lumpur. The country is made up of a number of provinces. Each province offers a unique culture and lifestyle.

Perak is characterized by farmland and rustic plantations and is an important province of Malaysia. The rustic plantations are set against a background of green jungle and rugged limestone hills. Perak lies between Kedah in the North and Selangor in the South. The Main Range Mountains cut across the State of Perak.

Sarawak is situated on the north-western coast of Borneo and is often referred to as the “Land of the Hornbills”. The state boasts of rich rainforests, rivers and diverse lifestyles of the indigenous people. Sarawak is Malaysia’s largest state and is divided into nine divisions. The state is known for its natural and cultural wonders.

Another province in Malaysia is Kedah. It is often referred to as the rice bowl of Malaysia. It lies between Perlis in the north and Perak in the South. It forms one of the northern states of Peninsular Malaysia. Kedah is primarily agricultural land that offers pleasant rural landscape.

The southernmost state of Peninsular Malaysia is Johor, another province in Malaysia. It consists of eight districts namely Johor Bahru, Pontian, Batu Pahat, Muar, Mersing, Kota Tinggi, Kluang and Segamat. The state of Johor has a long coastline and is flanked by the Strait of Malacca on the west and South China Sea on the East.

Sabah is the second largest state in East Malaysia and has the majestic South China Sea on the West. The State of Sabah is mountainous with lush colorful rainforests. 32 ethnic communities make up a sizeable population in the area.

Selangor, an important province of Malaysia is often referred to as the gateway of Malaysia because of its strategic location to all major travel routes. Selangor is home to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport the main entry point in the country. Port Klang, the largest port in Malaysia is also located here. Kuala Lumpur the capital of Malaysia and Putrajaya, the administrative capital of the state are located very close to Selangor thus resulting increasing tourist inflow.

Pahang is the largest state in Peninsular Malaysia. The state has a diverse range of attractions. It is enveloped in abundant rainforests, making it an enclave of lush greenery, exotic wildlife, and nature’s wonders.

Johor is the southernmost state of Peninsular Malaysia. It consists of eight districts namely Johor Bahru, Pontian, Batu Pahat, Muar, Mersing, Kota Tinggi, Kluang and Segamat.
