Paya Indah Wetlands are located in the Kuala Langat District in the State of Selangor in Malaysia. The islands cover an area of 3100 hectares encompassing a myriad of ecosystems such as degraded ex-tin mining land and peat swamp forest. Tin and sand mining were stopped in 1997 and ever since then, Paya Indah Islands have begun to recover. Today it is blossoming into a wonderful site for nature which future generations will surely inherit. The Islands will showcase some of Malaysia's efforts towards developing a sound environment in terms of tourism restoration of degraded areas and conservation of natural resources.

Paya Indah Wetlands in Malaysia boasts of remarkable natural resources and a splendid natural setting. Ever since its inception, the wetlands has experienced an approximately 30% increase in its wildlife population.
