Pedu Lake, Malaysia is one of the major natural attractions of the country. It is situated 5 km away from the Malaysian-Thai border and has become of one of the popular holiday destinations for both young and the old. The entire area is set against fascinating natural beauty; the lake is surrounded by verdant rainforest of Gunung Fakir Terbang and boasts of a serene ambience. Thus it is the ideal destination to unwind under the midday sun or read your favorite novel near a swaying coconut palm trees while enjoying the cool breezy mountain air.

Pedu Lake is also the ideal destination for enjoying a wide array of activities and sports. The crystal clear waters of the lake will allow you to participate in activities like jet ski, canoe, water-ski and windsurf. Other activities in the lake include golf, fishing, camping and bird watching. Pedu Lake also offers you the opportunity to opt for jungle trekking in the inner depths of the jungle surrounding the Pedu Lake.

The lake and its adjoining areas is also home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. Some of the animals that you can see in the verdant forests surrounding the lake are elephants, deer, wild boar, leopards, birds, bats, flying foxes and different types of insects. The forests of the area also house a special breed of "albino snakes" and if you are lucky enough, you might be able to catch a rare glimpse of the snake. For the benefit of wildlife lovers, hides and canopy walks have been constructed in the forest, so that visitors can conveniently watch the wild animals from distance.
