If you are planning to visit the east coast of the Malaysian Peninsula, avoid the monsoon season that generally lasts from November to February. The west coast experiences showers from October to November and then again from April to May. So, it’s advisable not to make your trip during the rainy season, as the boat and ferry services to the island do not operate. There is a rush of tourists in the peak season, so it would be better if you book well in advance.
