Time
The festival takes place in the early part of month of May.

Location
The Honey Festival takes place every year at Argana in Agadir.

Description
Argana is acknowledged as having the largest collection of beehive in the world. Also because of its construction, history, and the way the tasks are carried on makes Argana hold a unique place in the world history.

Process involved
There are innumerable bee hives stationed in this place from which honey is collected. Most of the hives are made of split reed cylinders. The cylinders are covered with clay.
In order to extract honey all the bees are driven out of their hives. As such a smoking brazier is to be used so that the bees and their queen crawl out in a basket. The brazier is generally built of clay. Finally honey is collected and then sent to the processing units.
