Kasbah Agadir Agadir

Morocco - Essaouira - Fez - Marrakech - Agadir

The Kasbah Agadir is not at all a very praiseworthy site of the city. Neither ca we say that without seeing the Kasbah your trip to Agadir remains incomplete. But the place is historic and has been a milestone attractions from many years, without actually knowing the reason for it being so popular.

The Kasbah Agadir is nothing but the ancient dilapidated walls of the old city. As we have perceived in many ancient cities or villages that the entire arena is surrounded by a huge wall for the city’s safety, the Kasbah is a very similar structure. There is no outstanding architecture to marvel at, but you are sure to find a bunch of tourists here and there loitering around it. This historic fortification is on a hilltop, which looms up over the city and gives a splendid view of Agadir.

The hill has God, King and Country engraved on it in Arabic about which the Moroccans are prohibited to speak anything bad. The panoramic view of Agadir is wonderful from the Kasbah. The entire place is lit up at night, which makes it look prettier at nightfall. Plenty of professional guides are available here who will take you around the place. Camel rides are very enjoyable here. You can take a taxi from the main city upto here at a meager $1 USD and make the cab wait till you return by offering a few extra bucks.
