Golf in Agadir

Morocco offers an array of sports and leisure activities. The most popular among them is Golf. In fact the internationally famous practitioner Golf King Hassan II made Morocco renowned worldwide. Some of the far-famed of the country's 16 golf courses are situated at the Royal Dar es Salaam Golf Club in Rabat. This feted Club has three golf courses and hosts annually the world famous Hassan II Trophy.

Agadir located at the southwest of Morocco on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. With its classic environment Agadir is a favorite with the golf-enthusiasts. This city has three courses-

  -   The Agadir Royal Golf Club
  -   The Dunes Golf Club
  -   Golf du Soleil

Each golf course is beautified by lakes, waterfalls, bridges, bunkers, bushes and extended shady fairways. These three golf courses offer a diverse scale of playing levels.

The Agadir Royal Golf is a 36 par encompassing 3,600 meters of land with fairways made fragrant by the fragrance of pines, mimosa and eucalyptus. It is a beautiful course with broad greens, deep bunkers and palm trees. The third hole is distinctly challenging with 469 meters and par 5 demanding particular skill on the second shot.

The Dunes Golf Club, designed by a disciple of Robert Trent Jones is also beautiful with three 9-hole par 36 courses.

The third course- Golf du Soleil surrounded by a lake, palm and eucalyptus trees is rated as five star course and has 27-hole par 72.
