Skiing in Agadir
Morocco - Essaouira - Fez - Marrakech - Agadir
Morroco, in North Africa has four mountain ranges consisting of the Rif, the High Atlas, the Middle Atlas and the Anti-Atlas. Some of them remain snow-capped and thus offers great skiing opportunities. Skiing facilities are offered in the resorts of Mischliffen in the Middle Atlas range, lying very close to Fès and Meknes. Apart from these, skiing facilities are also available in Infane, Mount Tidiquin in the Ketama district and Djebel Bou Volane in the Middle Atlas. These resorts are good destinations for expedition-type skiing and walking trips.
Agadir lying in the foothills of Atlas Mountains in Morocco offers access to the Anti-Atlas mountain range and the mountain range of High Atlas. You will find Alpine skiing facilities on the powder-like snow at Oukaïden(70 km from Marrakech) in the High Atlas Mountain Range.
The combined activity of traveling by mule and skiing is known as Mule-Skiing
and is done in the High Atlas Mountain range during the months of February to
April. These ski resorts are well-equipped with ski lifts and have proper Pistes
where you can enjoy a great snowboarding experience.
