Swimming in Agadir

Morocco in North African has a coastline on the North Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea with the backdrop of the snow-covered Atlas Mountains. Agadir, located south of Morocco is considered as a leading holiday resort of Morocco with its extensive golden sandy beach. The pristine beach is cleaned from time to time to make it more appealing. Agadir also boasts of some of the safest swimming destinations along the Atlantic Coast of Morocco.

The ocean is wonderful with moderate waves and low tides, thus offering ideal conditions for swimming. The water seems inviting and you would be tempted to plunge into it. So applying your sun-block and sun-bathing in the beach for sometime, enjoy a swim in the emerald water.

However please ensure that you don't swim too far and move away from the crowd. Especially weak swimmers or children must be more careful while swimming as there are some undercurrents (up to 1 m below the water level) which may be very dangerous. These sudden currents can create a whirlpool and pull you away. It is always better to be on the safer side as there are no lifeguards on the Agadir beach. So whenever you feel the current immediately come out of the water. Only if you can ensure a bit of safety, your swimming experience in the beautiful sea of Agadir will be memorable!
