Agadir in Morocco is a thriving tourist destination and more and more international
travelers have been visiting this seaside city. Tourists reach Agadir both from
other cities in Morocco and from international destinations. Besides buses and
taxis, ferries are a popular means of transport in Agadir. The beach of Agadir
is probably its most prominent feature and attraction and hence waterways and
ferry transport are highly developed here. The ferries of Agadir ply to most of
the Moroccan ports and to a few international harbors as well. Agadir Ferry
Service connects Aadir to a number of other Morrocan cities such as Casablanca,
Marrakech and Tangier. Most Spanish ports are connected to Tangeir by excellent
ferries and Tangier in turn is easily accessible from Agadir by the ferries that
ply regularly, thus providing excellent water connectivity to the city.
Companies such as Comanav also provide easy ferries from french ports to Agadir.
Sete and Port Vendres in France are accessible from Agadir by the ferry route;
the tourists may, however need to change operators at Tangeir. Taking the ferry
is an easy option for those who do not wish to fly or to those who are desirous
of closely observing the natives and their lifestyle.
