Bars and Pubs in Casablanca
Morocco - Essaouira - Fez - Marrakech - Agadir
Although Casablanca is not flooded with too many night life options, there are
a few bars and pubs that remain open for night long. Ain Diab Corniche has a limited
number of clubs. Live bands, expensive drinks, and people jiving on the dance
floor with the rhythm of maddening music are the common features of these bars
and pubs. Few places like Armstrong located at 41 Boulevard De La Corniche has
live bands playing jazz and blues. There is a wine bar in this pub, which remains
closed on Sundays. Mystic Garden has its own style of playing the gnaoua music
and arranging themed parties. Near the Mystic Garden is located the La Reserve.
It has a lovely piano bar, which remains open till midnight. The Candy Bar offers
a small disco to shake you legs with the music while enjoying your drink.
There are many eateries offering a wide variety of cuisines from international to typical Moroccan delicacies. The Rick's Café opened by Kathy Krieger, the former US Vice-Consul, offers wonderful French and American recipes. You can try sea food at the French-run Ma Bretagne at boulevard Océan Atlantique, Sidi Abderrahmane. El Mounia serves the traditional Moroccan food in grand, style. Located at 95 rue Prince Moulay Abdeallah, the restaurant has been running since 1958.
