Golf, a gentleman's sport, is supposed to have been born in the Netherlands,
and has been played for at least five centuries. The world's earliest golf course
is Scotland's Musselburgh Links where the game has been played since 1672. Even
though it is frequently viewed as an upper-class activity, golf in Marrakech is
becoming increasingly popular, and the proof of this is that there are three Golf
Courses in Marrakech, one of which is the Marrakech Royal Golf Club, Marrakech.
The Marrakech Royal Golf Club, Marrakech was built by the Pasha of Marrakech
in the 1920s, and has been constantly renovated and improved. A favorite course
of King Hassan II, and having served such greats as Winston Churchill, David
Lloyd George and General Eisenhower, this golf course was rated number 3 in
Morocco by Golf Digest (USA), April 2005.
Located at the feet of the Atlas Mountains, the Marrakech Royal Golf Club,
Marrakech is an extremely beautiful course that lies within a thick forest,
rich with cypress, eucalyptus, olive, apricot, orange and palm trees.
The green of the Marrakech Royal Golf Club, Marrakech with its solid slopes,
is hidden behind two grassy mounds separated by a bunker, and has the additional
hazards of the angles being blocked by high palm trees. For an absolutely awesome
golfing experience, one that will remain with you all your life, do come and
enjoy the offerings of the Marrakech Royal Golf Club, Marrakech.
