Friendship Festival Marrakech

Friendship Festival, Marrakech is an annul event that takes place in Marrakech, every May with the main aim of bridging cultures and encouraging brotherhood among the people. The event features a variety of local and international performances, ranging from American gospel rock to traditional Moroccan tunes, where Moroccan and American musicians share the center stage over the weekend in a musical event to celebrate friendship and peace between the two cultures.

Looking at the religious tolerance and mutual respect among people of vastly different cultures, who paid respect to each others culture through music, this event was hailed as a testament to the friendship between American and Moroccan community hence this music festival got the name of Friendship Festival.

The first two Friendship Festivals were a huge success with huge attendances and worldwide press coverage. The festival's second edition in 2006 attracted an audience of 220,000 people over the three days as compared to the 85,000 people who attended the first Friendship Fest and the figure is expected to rise with every year as the event gains more popularity.

Today the Friendship Festival of Marrakech, Morocco has captured the world's attention and is a must see musical event for one and all.
