Bert Flint Museum at Maison Tiskiwin Marrakech
Morocco - Essaouira - Fez - Marrakech - Agadir
An excellent compilation of Moroccan art and artifacts is housed in the Maison Tiskiwin museum. Maison Tiskiwin lies between the Bahia and Dar Si Said palaces at 8 Rue de la Bahia. From either Dar Si Said or the Bahia car park, it is easy to find this tourist destination. Seek for the yellow symbol with white inscription. It's open every day 9.30am–12.30pm & 3–6pm.
Apart from the museum, behind the wooden door there lies a beautiful town house. Furnished from the collection of a Dutch anthropologist, Bert Flint, the house was constructed at the turn of the twentieth century in Spanish-Moroccan style. He has been resident in Morocco since the 1950s. Her you will find each room featuring carpets, fabrics, clothes and jewelry from a different town or region, including the south and sub-Sahara.
