Diversity is one aspect that is common to the different dimensions of Morocco.
Be it the culture, the customs, the geography and wildlife, Morocco exalts and
entices with its variety and versatility. Being an African country, Morocco wildlife
is as exotic and diverse as in the other parts of this Dark Continent.
About Morocco Wildllife
For a date with the diverse wildlife in Morocco, visit the many forest reserves
and national parks in Morocco like the Bokkoyas and the Merdja Zerga (now known
as the Moulay Bousselham Lagoon, Morocco) biological reserves, Sous-Massa and
Toubkal. Listen intently and you will catch the happy chirping and clamor of
the 200-odd species of birds nesting here. The avian array herein include woodpeckers,
flamingos, spoonbills, storks, waders and eleven endangered species.
Other residents here include the golden jackal, leopards, red foxes, Egyptian
cobras and about 18 endangered breeds.
Cedar Forest Wildlife, Morocco is the most visited amongst the forest reserves
of Morocco and is frequented by the wildlife enthusiasts by the hordes, mainly
to catch a glimpse of the endearingly shy Barbary apes.
The wooded lands of the High Atlas region of Morocco too have their share of
unique Morocco wildlife. Praying mantis, squirrels and elephants are the dwellers
here, as are the countless colorful flitting Moroccan copper and desert orange
tip butterflies. Besides the wildlife watching, there are also many hiking trails
here for you to trudge along and take in the wilderness from close quarters.
Morocco wildlife is flamboyant, colorful, frisky and dynamic. Get friendly
with them at their dens like Cascades d'Ouzoud, Morocco.
