The kingdom of Morocco is the proud possessor of some astonishing beauty and extraordinary sights and scenes. The country has a rich and varied cultural heritage.
Rabat is the capital of Morocco and is one of the largest cities in Morocco. Rabat is a major tourist attraction of the country after Marrakech, Fez and Casablanca.

Morocco is a fascinating mixture of Arab, African, Islamic, Berber and European cultures, customs and beliefs. There are some important do's and don'ts that need to be remembered while in Morocco.

Some Do's to remember in Morocco:

  -   Do avoid large gatherings
  -   Do keep a low profile and don't be proactive
  -   Do report of any incident that take place to the nearest police station
  -   Do minimize hassles, wear decent cloths especially women should avoid short and low-necked cloths.
  -   Do bring enough money for your stay and return because money transfer is very time consuming. ATM machines are available at important cities only.
  -   Do take care of your belongings. Carry your passport with you and keep a photocopy somewhere safe.
  -   Do precaution while shopping as it might involve a lot of haggling

Some Don'ts to remember in Morocco:

  -   Do not carry a Bible in Arabic or involve in any such activity that hurts the religious sentiments of the people.
  -   Don't carry much cash in hand rather use traveler's cheques.
  -   Don't get involve in any kinds of drugs as it calls for severe penalty and up to 10 years of imprisonment. Even the penalties for possessing small amount of drug are very harsh.
