Features of Holy Trinity Cathedral in Auckland:

  -   The modern cathedral complex houses Mountfort's earlier wooden cathedral of 1886.
  -   Today the Diocese of Auckland covers the area stretching from North Cape south to the Waikato River, across the Hauraki Plains including the Coromandel Peninsula.
  -   The area of the new cathedral was consecrated to   -  The Holy Trinity  -   and was engineered by N.Z. Architect Professor Richard (Dick) Toy. The construction work started in 1991 and was finally completed in 1995. The modern nave was built but the traditional architectural features of the Older Chancel were not tampered with. The cathedral thus represents a mix of traditional fervor (neo-Gothic Chancel) with modern design (large areas of glass and a timber ceiling).
  -   The St. Mary's church stands beside the cathedral.
  -   The nave represents a square structure ideal for worship and other community events.
  -   Glass doors illuminate the stretch and punctuate the apparently unsupported roof.
  -   The cathedral is famed for its contemporary stained glass including an exotic window having a Polynesian Christ with brightly colored Pacific themes.
