Day 2: Greymouth-Franz Josef

The journey begins with ride along the West Coast toward Hokitika, which is renowned for its haute cuisine and greenstone. The vestiges of gold rush that brought thousands to the area in the 1800s remain in the historic town of Ross, which we visit in the morning. At Franz Josef we take part in the half-day glacier hike, regarded as one of the world’s greatest glaciers. Day 3: Franz Josef-Queenstown

Day 5: Queenstown-Dunedin

Day 6: Dunedin-Tekapo
