The Overlander trains travels through the heart of the North Island, between
Auckland - Wellington. On its way it passes though Central North Island ski
towns of National Park and Ohakune. It also experiences you fantastic views
of New Zealand farmland, the volcanic plateau, Mount Ruapehu, the world famous
Raurimu Spiral, and stunning river gorges.

THE TRANZCOASTAL - Picton - Christchurch
The TranzCoastal train travels daily between the enchanting port of Picton and
Christchurch, the South Island's largest city. It's a fascinating journey with
the Kaikoura mountain ranges on one side of your train and the rocky Pacific
Ocean coastline on the other. On its way it also passes though the village of
Kaikoura. It makes you view New Zealand's best horticultural and farmland areas,
and a glimpse of wildlife such as dolphins, seals and penguins.

THE TRANZALPINE - Christchurch - Greymouth
The TranzAlpine train travels between Christchurch and Greymouth, from one coast
of New Zealand to the other. In this journey of 223.8 kilometres long, which
takes just four and a half hours you can get a sight of the fields of the Canterbury
Plains and farmland, along with the spectacular gorges and river valleys of
the Waimakariri River. The train then ascends towards the Southern Alps before
going through green rain forest to the West Coast town of Greymouth.
