Rhapsody Rotorua Festival is the first International Schools Music Festival in New Zealand where about hundred participants take part from within and outside the country. This festival continues for three days and the beautiful musical ambience that persists during these days will do wonders to your mood. Usually this festival is held at the end of June. Participants- Individual performers as well as various musical groups including orchestras, Concert Bands, choirs, percussion groups, ensembles, jazz groups, stage bands, guitar ensembles, tin whistlers and all type of performing art groups.
Apart from this there are also plenty of music workshops, master classes and play-outs take place in this festival. If you are a connoisseur of music or an amateur musician, you can also perform in the concert at the Rotorua Convention Centre Theatre and the Concert Hall. Join the students and play with a band and improve your musical skills. During this festival some of the superior or accomplished students are provided with the opportunity to rehearse and play with the Rodger Fox Big Band.
