An all white landscape with snow all around is what best describes Snow Park. Located midway between Queenstown and Wanaka, Snow Park is situated high above the Cardrona Valley. With distinction of being Southern Hemisphere's first all mountain freestyle resort, Snow Park plays host to the enthusiasts trying to ski or snowboard for the first time ever. However the park is equally famous among the seasoned snow sport professionals. Snow Park offers a variety of sporting activities. Some of the features available in this park are: an international quality super pipe, beginner pipe, quarter pipe, ride wall, snow skate area and a vast terrain just for the newly christened snow sport lovers. The park has approximately 24 hectors skiing area. Open throughout the year, the Snow Park is a place where snow prevails round the year. Huge snow making systems in summer ensure that the visitors get perfect quality snow to skate and ski. The snow making system works even during winter to maintain the consistent quality of snow. To cheer you up further, the park plays music through a massive 5000 watt sound system. Besides, after a long and tiring snow cruising activity, you can tour around Snow Park by a new quad chair known as “The general”. Situated at an elevation of 1534 meter from sea level and 34 kilometer away from Wanaka city, Snow Park can be reached from Queenstown by a variety of transports. An all day pass for an adult costs about 60 Kiwi dollars. Entrance fee for students is 50 Kiwi dollars and 35 dollars is the discounted ticket price of a youth. Babies below 6 years of age do not need tickets.
