Set against the backdrop of the mind blowing Lake Wanaka at Queenstown, the southern Lakes Festival of Color is a celebration of arts and culture of the world. The inaugural festival of color got an overwhelming response. Nearly all the performances were sold out. The enthusiasm that it generated among the audience was also very inspiring.

As autumn sets in with all its glory, the environment begins to glow and look more vibrant and colorful. The leaves turn red and golden casting their shadows on the water of Lake Wanaka. If you want to get here by car from Queenstown then you have to come via Crown Range. Wanaka has one direct flight daily from Christchurch operated by Air New Zealand. Nearest international airport is in Queenstown. From Queenstown airport you can travel by car or bus to Wanaka.
