The Queenstown Airport is located in Frankton, approximately 10kms from central
Queenstown. Queenstown Airport is a small airport consisting of one main terminal
building. Check in time for international flights is at least two hours prior
to departure while it is 30 minutes for domestic flights. There are two main
shuttle companies that are operational from Queensland airport. Information
on them can be received at the information desk and also at the arrivals concourse.
The airport to Queenstown city fare ranges between 7 to 10 dollars. Besides
shuttles, the Queenstown "Shopper Bus" operates between 6.30am and
11pm having an hourly service. The trip costs $5. Taxi stands are located outside
the arrival area. Taxi fares into Queenstown cost around $20 per vehicle.
Taxi is available every 10 minutes, shuttle every 15 mins while bus is available
every 20 mins outside Queenstown airport.
Facilities like ATM, Baggage store, cafes, conference/meeting rooms, courtesy
lounge, currency exchange etc are available in the Queenstown Airport.
