Queenstown is a resort town in New Zealand. It is located in Otago which is to the south-west of South Island in New Zealand. Queenstown is one of the premier tourist destinations in New Zealand. Autumn sets in from the month of March and stays around the end of April or to the middle of May. Winter starts to show its presence during the month of May and seems to last till August. And then, its time for the spring season to set in by the month of September and lasts till November. The Queenstown weather is primarily westbound. Moist air from the Tasman Sea gets is resisted by the existence of the Southern Alps. This results in monsoons occurring mostly to the southern and western part of Queenstown. The mountain peaks of Queensland are covered by snow mostly throughout the year. Come winter and the snow covering atop the mountains only get thicker.
