Tunnel Gully in Wellington is a part of the Pakuratahi Forest covering the western side of the Rimutaka Ranges north of Upper Hutt. Wellington’s Tunnel Gully was named for its link with the Rimutaka Railway. Later it was converted into the Tunnel Gully Recreation Area and became a favorite hang-out zone for families in Wellington.
