Non-Motorbike entrance of the forest is through the SH 58 route i.e. Cooks Road via Moonshine Road and Bulls Run Road via Battle Hill Farm Forest Park, Paekakariki Hill Road.

The forest is also accessible by the public transport. Visitors will have to avail the No 111 bus (Mon-Sat).
