This is the most important hospital in Wellington, the capital of New Zealand, and the Coast District Health Board. Situated in Newtown, this hospital has become the tertiary referral centre for the southern portion of the Northern Island and northern portion of the South. Affiliated to the University of Otago, the hospital holds The Wellington School of medicine and health sciences adjacent to it.
