The Pinot Noir 2007(29 January – 1 February 2007) is the most significant wine event in New Zealand, which presents wines from all over the country to international spectators of enthusiasts, business and media. This event includes a series of tastings, discussions, and presentations, along with meals with a focal point on food and wine harmonizing. The Pinot Noir 2007 concludes with the gathering of the finest culinary talents of New Zealand, who gave an excellent dining experience under the instructions of chef de cuisine Ruth Pretty. Seafood, game and lamb with summer fruits is prepared by talented New Zealand chefs and served with the finest cool climate white wines and Pinot Noir of New Zealand. New Zealand Montana World of Wearable Art is provided lods of entertainment. A public tasting of the 100 top Pinot Noir from all over the New Zealand is organized on Wednesday 31 January from 4pm to 6.30pm at the TSB Bank Arena. The Wine leaders from all over the World were present at the New Zealand Pinot Noir 2007 celebration. Over 500 most important international wine commentators, producers, trade, media and lovers of great wine were present at Wellington for Pinot Noir 2007, which was held between 31 January and 3 February 2007. It is the third event of its category, which follows the extremely successful Pinot Noir 2001 and 2004. Some notable speakers and panelists were present at Pinot Noir 2007. They include: Most recognized UK wine writer, lecturer, judge and commentator Matthew Jukes Claude Bourguignon, the French master of soil Pierre-Henri Gagey of Maison Louis Jadot, possibly the most prominent negociant and producer of Burgundy. CH’NG Poh Tiong, publisher of The Wine Review, the earliest wine magazine in South-East Asia. Michel Bettane, most appreciated and well-known wine writer in France. Dr Peter Dry, viticulture and plant physiology lecturer, researcher, author and inventor of Australia.
