The Otari Native Botanic Garden, Wellington, is the sole public botanic garden in New Zealand that exclusively caters to native plants. The Royal New Zealand Institute of Horticulture has named it a Garden of National Significance and it lives up to that name. This distinctive plant sanctuary and forest reserve has over 100 hectares of woods, and more than 5 hectares of plant and shrub collections.
