The gulf country of Oman, which is also known to many as a 'desert country', has some of the most beautiful gardens of the world. Public gardens and parks are everywhere. Visitor to Muscat will be astonished to see the lush green and colorful gardens and also the floral lining of the highways and byways. The Muscat Parks and Gardens have become one of the Tourists attractions in Muscat Oman. There are no entry fees to any of the parks.

Sight-seeing in Muscat inevitably includes Muscat Parks and Gardens, some of which one can go are:

Quram Natural Park: The park is the largest in the whole of Muscat. The aim of building the park was to bring into use the natural and topographical features of the area to create an idyllic park for the visitors. The park is success story of its unique location and artistic design. The total area of the park is 17,15,449 m2.

Riyam Park: Overlooking the sea, the Riyam Park is built on several heights giving it a uniqueness of its own. It is located in Muttrah. The park has wide green areas, lots of children games and playgrounds. It is a sprawling place with an enormous incense burner structure which when climbed gives spectacular views of the surrounding cliffs and the nearby harbor.

Al Naseem Public Park: The Al Naseem Public Park is the first park to be established in Oman. It was inaugurated during the celebrations of th 15th National Day in 1985. Built in a area of 750,000sq m, the park is children's playing haven. Facilities range from small train with capacity of 70 passengers touring the whole area and playgrounds for football, volleyball and tennis. There is a library which is a good source to while away your time in the park. There is also a Japanese garden, an Arabic garden and a mini falaj system.

Some of the other Muscat Parks and Gardens are Kalbou Beach Park, Al Wadi Al Kabeer Park, The Park of A'Seeb Beech, Quriyat lake Park, Al A'merat Public Park to name a few. Parks and Gardens of Muscat create a unique story of their own with their nice blending of natural beauty and modern science.
