Baguio is a highly urbanized city in northern Luzon. It was established by the
Americans in the year 1900 at the locale of an Ibaloi village called Kafagway.
Baguio City has several names by which it is referred to by the common folk.
It is located in the high mountain ranges of the Cordillera. Baguio is known
as the Summer Capital of the Philippines, and the City of Pines. The temperate
climate of Baguio provides the traveler with plenty of opportunities for Excursions

The Mines View Park is located at the extreme northeast of Baguio. It offers
a spectacular panorama of Benguet's gold and copper mines. Located to the east
of Baguio is The Mansion, the official summer residence of the President of
the Philippines. The structure was rebuilt by the government of the country
in 1947 when it had undergone massive renovation.
