Wright Park Baguio city

The city of Baguio in the Republic of the Philippines is the best of the islands of Philippines. Philippines is a tropical country with fascinating landscapes, active volcanoes, splendid beaches, coral waters and tropical forests. In the hot hot summer months of March, April and May, Baguio lives up to its title as the “Summer Capital of the Philippines” when thousands of visitors from the lowlands and Manila take their annual exodus to the city to cool off. Wright Park, which is located at the eastern part of the city and fronting the main gate of the Mansion, is one of the many scenic parks in Baguio City.

The main centre of attraction within the Wrights Park is the “Pool of Pines”; it’s a shallow elongated rectangular water body, and the park circle which is on one end of the park. On both sides the access road beside the pool is filled with tall pine trees and decorative street lights.

For capturing the picture postcard type beauty of the Wright Park the tourists are advised to come along with their cameras. Inside the park many a times you can even find some Igorots dressed in their native attire and regalia who are willing to pose for a photograph provided they are going to be paid for it. Native handicrafts are also sold at the Mansion end of the park by a few Igorot peddlers.

Pony rides, available in the Wright Park are popular among both children and as well as adults. This pony rides are available in the broad stone made stairways in the park circle walk way. This part of the Wright Park remains crowed with people almost throughout the year, and especially during the sunny weekends and holidays. So, when you are in Baguio city you surely mustn’t forget to make a visit to the Wright Park.
