Described by many as ‘one of the finest’ by many who have visited the place,
White Beach stuns not a few with its veritable whiteness. White Beach
stretches to a length of four kilometers with powdery sand that is whiter and
finer than all the other beaches in Boracay. The clear water that fringe White
Beach overruns the shore a gush of blue- a perfect reflection of the sky overhead-
thus reducing the play of colors to blue and white only. The water being shallow
allow for activities like swimming, scuba diving, wind surfing; other activities
like kayaking, boardsailing and wind surfing are also favored by the conditions.
White Beach is easily the main attraction in Boracay- the hinge around which
the tourist economy of Boracay revolves. Of late the landscape of White Beach
has undergone a lot of changes as resorts, lodging houses, hotels, restaurants
and other tourist establishments line the shore. White Beach is dotted with
a fair number of palm trees that offer cool shade from the sun- a better way
to soak in the beach experience is yet to be discovered.White Beach has many
establishments that give out motor bikes on rent. Exploring the island and the
beaches on a bike is a wonderful way of knowing the island and also evokes a
certain thrill and a sense of adventure.
White Beach also boasts of a number of gift shops and boutiques- the most well
known being DMall.Those who plan to put up at White Beach should avoid the centre
of the beach since it remains crowded most of the time. Choosing a lodge towards
the North or South is highly recommended if one prizes a little solitude. There
are number of cottages built in a traditional manner yet possessing all the
modern amenities. These cottages promise privacy and as well as homely comfort.
