INTRODUCTION:
The relentless beauty of the beach and its picturesque surrounding provides some
great opportunities to the tourists for an endless Adventure and Recreation in
Boracay. The surrounding highland, the beautiful white sand powdered beaches and
the crystal blue water of the Sibuyan Sea is further enhanced by a strong adventure
and recreation facilities that it boasts of.
Mount Luho, the 100 m high mountain with a meandering road is great temptation
for Hiking and Mountain Biking. Bikes are given out on rent to explore the remote
areas of the island and the terrain. The southern and the northern part of the
island is most suitable for biking and the beaches are not at all suitable for
Motor Biking.
Hobie cats can be a good speeding experience in the strong gutsy winds. The
long stretch of the White Beach gives enough sun for sun bathing, a lazy stroll
across the white sands or a horse ride along the beaches are exciting. A short
friendly Beach Volleyball is great fun. Golfing in the 19 hole international
golf course is great pleasure for the tourist belonging to the elite group.
A tennis match in any of the three courts will be exhilarating experience. Football
on the beach is slowly gaining popularity in the region.
Windsurfing and Kiteboarding can are truly enjoyed by the tourists in this
region. Windsurfing is the most popular Adventure and Recreation of Boracay.
It is the best destination for windsurfing in the world and many an international
event is held here. December to February is the best time for Windsurfing. Windsurfers
from different parts of the world take part in the Boracay International Fun
Board Cup held every year.
The Banana Boat rides are also very exciting. Boats of different sizes are
easily available all along the White Beach. Diving is also great adventure to
explore the undersea world of the island.
