The Battle of Uhud was a second battle fought between the force from Mecca and the armies from a small Muslim community of Medina. Quraish of Makkah along with his army of 3000 well armed men attacked Medina and defeated the 700 men army of Medina. The battle was an act to avenge the defeat of Quraish of Makkah in the Battle of Badr.
