Clarke Quay

Clarke Quay is located on the side of the Singapore River and it falls under the Singapore River Planning. The quayside is situated upstream from the mouth of the river and the boat quay. The quay is named after Sir Andrew Clarke who was the second Governor of Singapore and Strait Settlements from the year 1873 to 1875.

The Singapore River is the main center of trade and commerce and the boat Quay became the chief spot of business. Singapore authority had done various renovations and today this quay is the main attraction for restaurants and nightclubs.

Clarke quay took a new shape after the government remodeled the place and now it is regarded as one of the main attractions of Singapore.
