A joint collaboration of the Singapore Tourism Board and the National Heritage Board, Chinatown Heritage Center, Singapore is located along the Pagoda Street. The museum throws light on the lives and social situations of the early settlers of the Chinatown. The rich cultural and social history of Chinatown is displayed through the items and objects of the era that are arranged in the different floors of the museum. Each floor showcases a particular time in the history of their lives. One of the most popular objects of the Chinatown Heritage Center, Singapore is the Coolie's Cubicle, which is a cubicle where young coolies used to gather. The Coolie's Cubicle later became an opium den. Some other significant parts of the museum are the Heritage Center's Samsui Women, Hawker's Family, Painter's Family, Shoe Seller, Female Servants, Heritage Center's The Seamstress and the Chinatown Tailor's Shop. During festivities like Lunar New Year, Theemithi and other local festivals, Chinatown is brought back to life. The celebrations carry on till late night.
