Omni Theatre and Planetarium Singapore

Omni-Theatre and Planetarium in Singapore is a unique tourist attraction that offers entertainment and education simultaneously. Strategically located close to the Equator, the observatory captures the northern as well as the southern hemispheres. The constellations in both the hemispheres are visible from the Omni-Theatre and Planetarium.

One of the main equipments in the Omni-Theatre and Planetarium is the 40-centimeter Cassegrain reflector that has a focal length of 520 centimeters. The other unique feature if that the sub-telescope is a 15-centimeter apochromatic Kepler refractor with a focal length of 180 centimeters.

The Observatory at the Omni-Theatre and Planetarium Singapore accommodates 50 people and is open to the public every Friday for stargazing.

Apart from offering these facilities the Omni-Theatre and Planetarium offers astronomy lessons, public talks on related topics and slide shows. It has specially designed and well equipped classrooms to accommodate those interested in the subject. The facilities offered include an Observatory, an Omniplanetarium and an OMNIMAX Projection System.

The Singapore Omni-Theatre and Planetarium is open to the public every evening between 7.50 pm and 10 pm.
