SSC Sports Museum Singapore
Established in 1983, the SSC Sports Museum, Singapore is located at the western entrance of the National Stadium. It was established with the aim of preserving the heritage of Singapore with regard to sports. In May 1983, the museum was opened for public visit with the 12th SEA Games in Singapore.

Sports in Singapore are an important part of their lives and the history can be traced back to colonial times. With the coming of the British, different kinds of associations and sports clubs were established. Sports facilities were introduced which facilitated the growth of sports and eventually led to the establishment of the Singapore Olympic and Sports Council.

The SSC Sports Museum, Singapore has six galleries which display both Olympic as well as non-Olympic sports along with traditional as well as other contemporary games. The six galleries are called Sports in Colonial Times, Sports in Independent Times, Indigenous and Traditional Sports, Hall of Fame, Olypism and Regional/International Games and the Roll of Honor.

The SSC Sports Museum, Singapore is open from Monday to Friday between 9 am and 5 pm. Admission to the sports museum is free and open for all.
