Jeollyeong Esplanade Busan

South Korea - Daegu - Incheon - Jeju - Seoul - Daejeon
Jeollyeong Esplanade, Busan also called the Jeoryeong Esplanade is a street located along the coast of the Yeongdong island in south of Busan. To enjoy a coastal walk in the background of magnificent sea, the Jeollyeong Esplanade, Busan is an ideal public path one can look for.

The name Jeollyeong is derived from the fact that earlier the Yeongdong island was used to be called the Jelyoung Island because the island produces excellent breeds of horses, as good as the ones from Jeju Island. Earlier this esplanade was strictly controlled as a military zone, and access was difficult. But later for the citizens of Busan the Jeollyeong Esplanade, Busan was built under the public works project. Covering Yeongdong Grand Bridge and Busan Grand Bridge and about 500m from Yeongseon-dong Downside Rotary toward the 2nd Songdo Beach, and finally the Bando Bora Apartment Complex, the entire walk through the Jeollyeong Esplanade, Busan takes about 2 hours. At the entrance of this 3 km long Jeollyeong Esplanade, Busan there is the management office and here the esplanade also provides with plenty of rest facilities for the walkers.

Walking through the Jeollyeong Esplanade, Busan one can experience ever changing sceneries of amazing waves, sounds of rocks, Jangseng posts (totem poles, Rocking Bridge, Jangmi(rose) Tunnel, Wave Plaza, Rainbow Mountain, several stone pagodas, scattered boats and much more in the background of marvelous blue sea extending towards the Songdo Island.

The coastal walk through the Jeollyeong Esplanade, Busan becomes more exciting and comfortable with fresh and warm wind blowing through the esplanade. Yeongdong Island being the gateway to the Pacific Ocean has warm currents through out the year and hence always receives lovely warm air keeping the temperature warm and pleasant.

Thus by offering fresh air and an outstanding and majestic view of the nature including the open sea, the Jeollyeong Esplanade, Busan has attracted the attention of the both the citizens and tourists of Busan for having a unique experience of coastal walk.
