In a world of growing population and ecological unbalance birds still find an oasis in Eulsukdo, Busan. The largest migratory bird habitat in Asia. The estuary of Nakdonggang River abounds with sandbanks and river islands covered by sheltering reeds and waterweeds serve as a safe refuge for migrating birds. Selected as the Seasonal Bird Migration Site in 1966, Eulsukdo is recognized as the 179th natural monument of South Korea.

The avifauna of this wonderful place includes 150 species of birds, visiting in the winter season between October and March. Bird lovers will get a rare opportunity to watch some endangered species like the white-nape cranes, the black faced spoonbills and the white-tailed eagles almost on the verge of extinction. With the help of a local guide tourists can watch birds between 9am and 4pm. The scenic beauty of flowing river, sand dunes filled with the feathery wonders in all shades of color flapping wings or chirping melodiously makes a tour in Eulsukdo,Busan a most cherished experience.

Other facilities and entertainment like parking lot, culture center, drive-in theatre, outdoor concert hall, inline skate rink, small football field, lawn plaza and resting place are also available around Eulsukdo Bird Migration Site.
