Dabyeon port situated in Gijang district at the northern part of Busan, is famous for its rustic beauty and abundant marine products. Anchovy Festival, Gijang
Held by the Gijang and Daebyeon anchovy festival progression committee each year around April the focus of this festival is to boost regional economy. Diverse events like public performances by military bands for ceremony, meeting to taste free anchovies, an Anchovy beauty pageant, Catching anchovies with bare hand and a fishing ship parade add to the charm of the ceremony. During the festival the raw fish restaurants of Daebyeon port offers a special discount of 50%.
