Sinseonbawi Busan

Just 250m above the sea level and situated around the uppermost peak in the center of Taejongdae, the seashore is overstated with wonderful rock formations such as the Sinseonbawi, Busan, or the Rock of the Mountain God and Mangbuseok, or the legendary Rock of theFaithful Woman.

The term rock formation suggests an isolated, scenic, or magnificent surface of rock projection. It is formed as a result of weathering and erosion and thus carving the existing rock into its present shape. In general the term also means specific sedimentary strata or other other kinds of rock unit in stratigraphic and petrologic studies. The Sinseonbawi, Busan is also formed in the same way.

On a cruise boat tour from Taejongdae the tourists will be able to enjoy a clear and closer view of Sinseonbawi, Busan. It is believed that on this rock a legendary oriental hermit called Sinseon, with supernatural powers had appeared once. As a result Taejongdae is also known as the Sinseondae because it is so believed that once Sinseon used to live here.

The best known tourist attraction in Busan is Taejongdae. It lies along the coast, on the southernmost tip of the Yeongdo Island. The tourists are spell bounded by the beautiful scenery of the place which is full of thick forests and vast coastal water. In order to take the pleasure of the place during the bygone days the poets, artist and the calligraphers used to visit the place very often.
