Daegu Culture

The kingdom of South Korea has seen many rulers reigning over. The early rulers included the Baekje dynasty in the BC 18 who ruled Korea for a long time and shaped the Culture of the kingdom as well. The cultural change had a lot of influence on the behavioral pattern of the society. The climatic effect too has its won share of influence. The Culture of Korea has always been intellectually developed and the intelligence has been proved by the fast development of the country. The different provinces of the country have played it part in the phenomena and it has been possible because of the Culture of the provinces which has developed the living standard by immense hard work and determination. Daegu is no exception, the province famous for its illustrious history and the determined people. Daegu Culture compromises of quite a homogeneous population and a quite and conservative culture. The main feature of the culture is its population which is modest and hardworking. The Daegu culture is even more illustrious because of the societal structure which makes the women more liberal, strong willed and beautiful.

The Daegu culture is dominated by Buddhism which incidentally is prevalent from the ancient time. The serenity of the culture are wonderfully showcased at the several temples spread
across of the city. Confucianism is also a popular notion in the city which has been popular from a long period of time. A large academy present in the city helps in the popularity of the culture in Daegu. In the recent past Christianity has also cropped up fast with the churches built in the city and joining hands in the list of the city skyscrapers.

The recent trend has seen the increase in the Chinese Culture as many Chinese students are coming down to study at the Universities of Daegu. Because of the entrance of different types of Culture in the city the trend of food too has changed a bit. In the recent past other than the commonly found Korean, Chinese, Japanese and Western food the Indian/Pakistani and Russian foods too have gained popularity.
