Daegu Airport

Daegu Airport, which is performing central function of international exchange only in Daegu, Gyeongsangbuk-do, is located at the center of Gyeongsangdo. From here you ca access to adjacent places such as Gyeongsan and Youngcheon in 30 minutes, tourist spots such as Gyeongju, Andong and Pohang etc. in 90 minutes. These gorgeous pine trees have been relocated from Uljin airport when Daegu Airport was under construction. Long time ago when the Blue House, Kyungbok Place and other palaces needed repair, these Kumgang pine trees are top of the range. After having ritual, carpenters cut the trees in Bekdu Mountain and brought these here.

Having had stylish form, it used to call "beauty pine tree". Being called Kumgang pine tree as a red pine tree since it has red color; it stands for potent and sovereign spirit not like any other preserved trees at home.
Since this pine tree grows in cold area, it has thick trunk to sustain from heavy snow and grows straight to minimize the pressure snow causes.
Maximum snow in Bekdu mountain makes Kumgang pine trees and at the same time, it makes Bekdu mountain.
