The Buddha on Dongbong Peak of Mt. Palgongsan, Daegu, is a 6-meter tall image engraved on the surface of a giant rock at the Dongbong Peak, of the Mt. Palgongsan, which faces the west. This stone image is a representation of the Buddha of Medicine. Like the other stone Buddha on the Gwanbong Peak of the Mt. Palgongsan, the seated Gatbawi Buddha, the Buddha on Dongbong Peak of Mt. Palgongsan, Daegu belongs to the structural style that was prevalent in the Unified Silla period (668-935). The whole image is well done, especially the face and the garments, though certain parts are quite crude and rough. The Buddha on Dongbong Peak of Mt. One can get to the Buddha on Dongbong Peak of Mt. Palgongsan, Daegu by taking the City Bus No 105, and then climbing up the Mt. Palgongsan for around three and a half hours.
